Hello, my name is Raphaela and I'm an Austrian-based designer focused on 3D & motion.

In the past years I've worked for various international projects such as the title sequence for the award-winning National Geographic documentary "Sea of Shadows", the music video for Lil Dicky's "Pillow Talking" or Microsoft's demo VR experience "Free the Night" for its Mixed Reality Headset. 

I studied at University of Applied Sciences – FH Joanneum in Graz (Information & Media Design), University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Hagenberg (Digital Arts), and at Universitat Politècnica de València (Bellas Artes) for an exchange semester. With a background in graphic design and cinematography, I eventually ventured into CG and discovered my passion for 3D Motion Graphics – with an extra love for procedural setups. In the past years, I had the pleasure of working at the VFX Company Blue Faces in Bratislava and the VFX & Motion Design Studio Kaiserlicht in Vienna, before eventually going Freelance.

Since 2015, I've been contributing to our creative community. I've volunteered at plenty of conferences around design and animation like SIGGRAPH, OFFFVienna or Central European Games Conference. For three years, I was part of the PIXELvienna core team and co-organised the event and managed their social media. Furthermore, I've co-organized weekly Creative Meetups for fellow students to exchange knowledge and feedback – including initializing weekly Art Challenges and hosting an annual Animation Jam.

On a personal note, I love patterns of any kind, (abstract) storytelling, typography and hand lettering.
