During my time as a 3D artist at the Motion Design Studio Kaiserlicht, I was involved in the creation of the award-winning Title Sequence for Sea of Shadows. The (also award-winning) documentary by Austrian filmmaker Richard Ladkani is about the smallest whale species on earth, the Vaquita, facing extinction due to the illegal trade with the Totoaba fish, another critically endangered sea mammal.
While I was included in the entire ideation and conception phase as well, I was mainly responsible for sculpting the Vaquita, the Totoaba and the Totoaba’s swim bladder. Furthermore I textured the Totoaba fish.
I feel incredibly honored to be part of something so meaningful and hence, it was truly one of the most fulfilling projects so far. Thanks Kaiserlicht for bringing me on board! If you care about the Vaquita as well, sign this petition and help saving an entire species.
